DETERMINERS


            *BEFORE NOUNS / PRONOUNS 
     1)    DETERMINER + SINGULAR NOUN

A/ an/ each (one by one individually), every (more general, a group), another, this; that

Ex: Each student will receive a different oral topic for their final oral examination (one by one)
Ex: Every person should wait in line (all the group)
Ex: Each person should wait an hour (separately)

     2)    DETERMINER+ PLURAL NOUNS
These, those, (a) few, other, many

Few    (not a large number, but not an insignificantly small number either)
A few (an insignificantly small number)

     3)    DETERMINERS + PLURAL /UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS
Both….and, all, some, much, little, half

     4)    DETERMINERS+ ALL KINDS OF NOUNS
My, your, his, their, etc

     5)    NEGATIVE DETERMINERS
Neither, no, any

     6)    DETERMINER+ OF+ ANOTHER DETERMINER

EXERCISE: 
   

1)    I can't take aspirin. Have you got any OTHER/ OTHERS painkillers?
2)    I don't have MANY/ MUCH time take regular exercise.
3)    Have you had ANOTHER/ OTHER check- up recently?
4)   Yes, I did several tests but NEITHER/ NONE OF them have given a clear result.
